Save Our Community was founded in the movement to resist Wal-Mart's development in Rosemead, California. Now, it has become a general site for news, information, gossip, talk, and blogging about Rosemead. We also have stories about South San Gabriel, San Gabriel, Montebello, and occasionally about Pico Rivera, El Monte, South El Monte, Alhambra, Temple City, and other nearby communities. Who's new

The Council Chambers are Back!

Effective with the City Council meeting on Tuesday August 26th at 7 PM, the newly-renovated chambers will officially reopen to the public for council and commission use. The last meeting at the Rec Center (RCRC) will be the Monday Aug. 18th meeting of the Planning Commission. The 26th should also have the usual Community Development Commission at 6 PM, and (hopefully) interviews for the two seats on the Traffic Commission, if they have not been conducted previously. Watch for the agendas on those to see where they will be held. They have previously been conducted in the conference room next to chambers; I am hoping that they will note the increased attendance and shift them permanently into the chambers.
