Credit Where Credit is Due

I guess now that they no longer want to undermine the credibility of the Rosemead City Council, the SGV Tribune is now willing to run positive news developments out of Rosemead. For example, here's a story about tree planting and street paving.

However, let's not forget that we're still in the last fiscal year. Both of these projects are the result of the budget passed by the PREVIOUS council majority last July, and grants wrangled by the previous council majority's city manager.

There are a pretty extensive list of good things that were already in the pipeline before the old folks got their majority back. I'll give them credit when they do something on their own. But the tree planting and street repaving were both authorized long before the current majority came into power.
