Savings to City Budgets by Cutting Commissions

We'll see if they actually do it, but West Covina is considering cutting city commissions to save money.

Rosemead could save half its commission and city council salaries by just paying them when they actually show up to work. Currently, even if the commissions or city council doesn't meet in a month (or if a member fails to show up for any reason), they still get paid. Why do we literally pay them for nothing?
