It never ceases to amaze me when people are shocked, SHOCKED to realize that their actions have consequences. So it goes in Azusa, where political and Business Leaders Condemn Duarte Officials Threat of Boycott.

That's the headline in the Tribune today, although it ought to say "official's" rather than "officials."

I say, "Good for Duarte" and "Suck it up, Azusa." If Duarte residents think Azusa isn't listening to them, they absolutely should vote with their pocketbooks. Hey, that's what I do every day, when I don't shop at Wal-Mart.

Duarte, you'll recall, is opposed to Azusa Rock/Vulcan's plan to shift their Fish Canyon mining operation 80 acres closer to Duarte. Azusa seems to be leaning towards approval.
