Buying Good Coverage

Two full-page ads in the middle of the main section of the San Gabriel Valley Tribune today. One was for joebarter.com which is promoting (yet again) the idea of a football stadium in Industry. One of the main sponsors of this "summit" on the football stadium include the Upper San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority.

Lafayette's Answer to Net Neutrality: A City Operated Utility

The past couple weeks we've seen the FCC propose new rules they're calling "Net Neutrality". The people who have argued for Net Neutrality are calling it "Net Neutraility Lite" because it's lacking a lot of things they want - but includes basic protections.

The list for Rosemead includes Councilwoman Polly Low, Planning Commissioner Bill Alarcon, and local activists R. Alejandro Gandara and Barbara Murphy.

The Penguins - Memories of El Monte

Check out the comments on the video (click on it once it's playing).  What's interesting about this song is that Frank Zappa produced it.  You don't really think of him as a doo-wop guy. The Penguins did Earth Angel.

What ever happened to Gil Cedillo?

He's the guy who wanted to represent much of the San Gabriel Valley in the U.S. Congress, even though he didn't live in the district.

Now he's suing the state to get more pay. Yeah. Not the brightest bulb, is he?
