CVS buying Long's

Probably not something most will care about, but CVS is buying Long’s Drugs.  Shouldn't have any effect on us here in Rosemead. The linked story says the Long’s on the mainland will convert to the CVS brand, while the ones in Hawaii will remain Long’s.

Long’s in Hawaii is kinda unique, and the ones in Las Vegas sort of catered to the relocated Hawaiians. So I used to be able to buy lau lau at the Long’s near Stephanie and Warm Springs. Mmmm. Lau lau! :P

*I* care.  CVS ruined Sav-On, and Long's was the best of the four major chains in our area.  If Albertsons doesn't have it, that's where I normally go.  But now....
