Your tax dollars at work!

Here’s a pleasant surprise I found on the city’s website: The fiscal 2008-2009 budget.

Yep, for the first time in the city’s history, if you want to know where your tax dollars are going, you don’t need to go to city hall to read a copy at the front desk.

I applaud our city manager and city council majority for taking this very positive step towards transparency in local government.

FINALLY!

I'm so glad they got Acrobat so they could make PDFs from their word processor files.

One of these days, they should learn about spreadsheets and databases. :-)

FINALLY!

With Word and WordPerfect, you can create .pdf files without any problem at all.  It's a handy tool.  I use my WordPefect to create lecture outlines and review sheets for my students all the time.  It lets both Mac and Windows users open my files without corrupting the formating.
