Save Our Community was founded in the movement to resist Wal-Mart's development in Rosemead, California. Now, it has become a general site for news, information, gossip, talk, and blogging about Rosemead. We also have stories about South San Gabriel, San Gabriel, Montebello, and occasionally about Pico Rivera, El Monte, South El Monte, Alhambra, Temple City, and other nearby communities. Your host is Todd. If you want a blog just sign up, get approved, and start writing. Good posts will be moved onto the home page.
Funny Carson City Council
Well, I see three possible explanations:
1. The gravitational constant in Carson is smaller there than it is elsewhere in the universe, so it takes about five seconds longer for someone to fall to the ground in Carson than everywhere else on the planet.
2. The answer to the old joke about "How do you get a blond to laugh on Tuesday?" ["Tell her a joke on Monday"] is only partially incorrect. It only took this blond about five seconds to react.
3. The mayor keeps saying something about being "hit in the eye," so maybe this woman does have eyes in the back of her head.

Zebra blogs, ..."The gravitational constant in Carson is smaller there than it is elsewhere in the universe, so it takes about five seconds longer for someone to fall to the ground in Carson than everywhere else on the planet..." LOL!!!
Kinda reminds me of that little ol' man on "Laugh In" who used to roll down dead right!
Update on Carson City Council Slap Heard Across the World
I can't believe this clip has been seen on YouTube a half a million times. The "alleged perpetrator, Ms. Vera Robles DeVitt, is facing real misdemeanor charges and could be losing her license as a bails bond person. Even though the "alleged victim" suffered no real bodily harm, one doesn't need to actually harm another person to be charged with battery.
(Citizens of Rosemead, on both sides, should be proud they acted with so much restraint during the Walmart issue--where the _hit really hit the fan and much more was a stake)

One of the SGVN blogs also linked to this video. The actions are so ludicrous that people just can't get enough of it.
