Rosemead City Council Candidates Forum Video

The forum is archived here, in case you missed it but want to see the candidates.

When you download it, you can use your cursor to move the little timer thing forward. That's important to know, because otherwise you'd have to watch about 22 minutes of people milling around the council chambers. So, when it starts, pull the little timer indicator thing at the bottom of the screen forward to about 22 minutes. You can do that again when you get to the "ten minute" intermission, which was closer to 20 minutes.

Also, if you don't have time to sit through the whole thing at once, you can fast forward ahead to the proper time.

Irony

It's not as obvious on the video as it was in person, but Sandra Armenta (who wasn't even supposed to be part of the forum) just wouldn't shut up. The irony is that Alejandro Gandara was trying saying that he wouldn't vote against a proposal just because of who was sponsoring it. Basically, he was calling for more civility in government. Meanwhile, Armenta kept muttering and gesturing and interrupting from the floor, swearing that the new council would NEVER be so rude. It would be funny, if it wasn't so sad.
