Kudos to Hector Becerra

Hector Becerra of the L.A. Times has had a couple of good San Gabriel Valley-related stories recently. Earlier in the week, it was about the trials and tribulations of being in the pho (Vietnamese noodle) business in the area.

Today, on their website was a story about the general difficulties going on in El Monte.

Interesting thing about the latter story is how it contrasts them with Rosemead, and with Rosemead being put in a more positive light. Of course, depending on the future policies adopted by the city council in the next few years, we'll either maintain that perceived edge or fall behind them.
