Montebello Hills Specific Plan: Comment Period Extended

This is posted as a comment farther down the way, but I wanted to raise the visibility a bit. The new deadline is May 28. The link to the EIR is here.

The City Council of Montebello has decided to release the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) on the Montebello Hills Specific Plan (MHSP). and the Specific Plan itself, simultaneously and with the absolute minimum publicity and comment time legally allowed. The document is finally available 18 days after its announced release date at the Montebello Library.

Raconteur Robles Relates: Rotten Rascals' "Recall Rally" Rescheduled. Reason? Rambunctious Rainstorm.

Postponed per precocious precipitation, at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, February 18, the group which mailed Montebello City Councilmembers Urteaga and Salazar notices of the upcoming recall campaign will reveal their identity and reasons for said campaign. Per spokesman Chris Robles, it will happen on the steps of Montebello City Hall at 1600 W. Beverly Blvd.

Judge Dismisses Montebello Trash Issue

What a big "oops". One would think a judge would side with "the people" on this one, even for a "minor technicality". Although, I am siding with Athens on this one because SSG has an Athens contract and I am a satisfied customer, I just feel sympathetic for all the hard work and signatures collected for nothing.

Changes to Montebello Route 20
