Two of our core activists went to check out the LA vote to make big box stores do environmental impact studies. This photos made the front of the LA Times.

The City Council voted in favor of the ordinance that requires large retailers to pay for an Economic Impact Study, to show the effect that a big retailer would have on the local economy.

This position had gained a lot of support from officials prior to its passing. Among the supporters were the State controller.
