Walmart Bribery Scandal Should Lead to Big Fines

In Wal-Mart Probe, a ‘Black Box’ of Possible Fines

As we know, Walmart likes to play politics to smooth their store development process. They ask for favors, and now it's quite clear that they will also bribe politicians to get their development plans approved.

The linked article above discusses potential fines. Siemens did the same thing in Latin America and the end result was $800 million in fines... and they got off easy compared to potentially over a billion dollars in fines.

Maybe the DOJ can come to Rosemead (they already did once) to see how Walmart accelerated the building of their store. I heard rumors that permits weren't pulled correctly.
