So Long, Redevelopment Agencies!

The state Supreme Court said the state can abolish Redevelopment Agencies. Makes sense, since they created them. Since then, they've been a giant slush fund for developers and local elected officials.

Some city council members talk about the state taking "their" money. The council members are wrong; it's not THEIR money, it's OUR money. Too many years of waste and crony giveaways have convinced me that we can't trust the cities with our money. Better to give it back to the state for distribution to schools and law enforcement.
