Or, at least, our city council is Number One -- When it comes to compensation. Take a look at this table, from the LA Times. Over $44,000 a year for a part-time job! And, remind me, which supposed watchdogs of the treasury were in office while all of this lard was being ladled on to the public trough?

$44,000+ a year is crazy for a part-time job. the council members who voted this to themselves should be embarrassed. This isn't "public service"; this is highway robbery.
