Big article in the LA Times about Donald Shoup, who doesn't like free parking.

Theories like this show how irrational people can be. Of course, everyone likes "free." And the logic behind the impacts of free parking are all very straightforward. But because so many people don't like the conclusion, they refused to accept the premise.
