For me, breakfast at Denny's usually includes either scrambled eggs or an omelete. With either, I like hot sauce.
They used to have Tabasco sauce. At some point, they started having Cholula sauce. Cholula was my favorite for years. Then, a few months ago, they replaced Tabasco with Louisiana Gold. After a number of head-to-head taste tests, I determined I liked Louisiana Gold more.
But I could never find it in a store.
About a month ago, I was at a friend's house and they had a bottle of Louisiana's Gold on the table. I asked them where they bought it. They said, "Denny's," because they could never find it in a store, either. Ah, so I was not the only one would couldn't find it in a store. So about two weeks ago, I went to a Denny's and bought a bottle.
Well, imagine my surprise today when I found bottles of Louisiana's Gold in Big Lots! And for a mere $1.70. I hope this doesn't mean they've stopped making it and it's on closeout!
That's my second gastronomic find of the day. The first one was the Pop-Tarts find, mentioned one post down. Yeah, I know: My tastes are not exactly gourmet.
