Save Our Community was founded in the movement to resist Wal-Mart's development in Rosemead, California. Now, it has become a general site for news, information, gossip, talk, and blogging about Rosemead. We also have stories about South San Gabriel, San Gabriel, Montebello, and occasionally about Pico Rivera, El Monte, South El Monte, Alhambra, Temple City, and other nearby communities. Your host is Todd. If you want a blog just sign up, get approved, and start writing. Good posts will be moved onto the home page.
I don't know when they'll
I don't know when they'll turn, but I'm sure Marlene will turn as soon as Maggie votes to approve 24 hour operations at Wal-Mart. It's just a matter of time. . . .
Cap Lock Key Location
It's located on the left side of the keyboard. Don't use it. Avoid it. It makes you look uneducated, so you just capitalize all the letters so you don't have to think.
I notice that you call their attacks, of which I know nothing, 'pathetic and disgraceful'. That may be, but if you won't call them wrong, incorrect, false, or such terms, then you are conceding their truth. Instead of irrelavant personal observations, try to attack their actual arguements so you don't come off as an anti-woman nut, as your posting seems to indicate.
Usually, when people say
Usually, when people say someone else needs professional help, I dismiss them as being, themselves, disturbed (there was a certain half-man, half-beast character who who comes to mind as I write this). However, in the case of Marlene and Velia, at least, I think the comments above are appropriate. There really is something pathological about their behavior. That is not anti-woman or anti-women. It is specific to these two individuals, who happen to be women.
Tell Me More...
I'm always interested in disturbed women. Let's hear the specifics, as I'm not likely to be at a Rosemead City Council meeting any time soon.
First off, just the fact that
First off, just the fact that someone who doesn't live in the city comes to every city council meeting is already an indication that something is wrong.
She's always there, always speaking, and always being rude and disrepectful to whomever she is angry at that day. The meetings are all available on the Internet, and the public comment period is at the start of the meeting. www.cityofrosemead.org
Six minutes of wasted time
More evidence of someone who's just not all there: Velia Navarro, spending six minutes on a scread, the point of which seems to be, no one can send anything to Rosemead voters that she doesn't agree with.
No, really, that's it. She's mad because Councilwoman Polly Low sent out a mailer (paid for by her campaign and NOT by the city) that did not say anything bad about John Tran and John Nunez.
I am not making this up. That is the gist of her comments.
Don't believe? Look here. Start from about 1:06:15 and prepare to waste six minutes of your life. [I think you need RealPlayer to watch the video. Might work with Microsoft Media Player, too. Once the video starts, you can right-click your cursor on the little indicator below the screen and drag it forward. 1:06 is about 2/5 of the way across the screen.
Couldn't tell if Crazy Marlene was there. She usually sits on the front right, and it's not covered by the camera.
