The Garvey School District has been negotiating pay and benefit cuts with their teachers and classified staff for months.

The Garvey Education Association wants to bring back some of the 32 remaining laid off teachers. They went to the table on Monday May 21st agreeing to concessions in order to save the jobs of some of the laid off teachers.

The Garvey Education Association (GEA) will be facilitating a meeting with parents and the community on Tuesday May 29th at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Parent Education Center at 7423 Newmark Street in Rosemead. (Enter from New Avenue)
