For informational purposes, only, I note that Hillary Clinton's campaign has scheduled a rally in the gymnasium at Cal State, L.A. on Saturday, February 2, from 9:30am to 12:30pm.  [Past experience tells me she'll actually get there to closer to the noon than to 9am, with music playing and speeches by other elected officials filling up the time leading up to Hillary's arrival].

The odds are pretty small that I'll vote for her on Feb. 5, but there's a pretty good chance I'll go to the rally, just because I think it might be interesting.  No sign waving for me, though.

[NOTE:  Post edited.  They changed the time of the event after my original post]

Hillary Clinton at Cal

The Clinton website is urging an early arrival because they expect a big crowd.

That's one of the annoying tricks of campaigns.  If they really expected a big crowd, they'd have it on the football field.  But if they have it there and even 1,000 show up, the stands would look kinda empty.  On the other hand, if they have it in the gym and even 500 people show up, it'll look packed.  So it's scheduled for a relatively small venue, which'll make a more compelling picture (if it gets picked up by the local media, which is the real target of these rallies).
